smallest knife

what is the smallest knife,
that is common in most lfs? besides the knife cat fish.....
what is it, and whats the common data on it?
reason being, is I love knives, but looking to downgrade one of my tanks from a 13" BGK to somthing that maybe cap out at half of what its at now or so...

An African Brown Knife (Xenomystus Nigri) will average 8"

yea, although my knowledge is limited, i believe the african brown knife is your best bet. i would say the most common are clown knifes and bgk, at least up here. but recently, i have been seeing a decent amount of african brown knifes, which is good, because at least they get to a managable size for the average aquarist.
