My friend has a 10 gal. and he wants to know if he can put a pike in his tank.What type of pike or "pike-looking-fish" can go in it???And if any thing can go in it than do you have any ideas for tankmates????
 
They do have some dwarf pikes 3-4", but I would not keep one in there. You might get away for a couple of weeks with one.. I would at least have a 29 long for one specimen. They can be more conspecific aggressive than their larger cousins.

yeah, most dwarf pikes would like a little bigger tank. Maybe you could tell him to look at golden wonder killie fish. They are small predatory fish and they look kinda like a pike.
 
You could go with Telocichla...but they aren't really pikes i don't think. Never really looked into them that much. Not very common either! ;) NO pike should be kept long term in anything smaller than a 20gal though...;)
