Hey! I just ordered a new 45 gal aquarium and I'd like to have a Bichir in it, but since it's only a 50 gal can someone recommend me the smallest bichir I could find? It can be a reedfish too, something under 11 inches would be perfect I guess!

Thanks!

Edit: I was thinking about a Guinean bichir.

Your only real options for life is Senegal or delhezi.

Sen. would be fine in that tank. Mine was in a 30 gallon for a while a couple years back, and he's been full grown for a long time.

I would stick with a sen dels still get pretty big

Get an albino sen. Their genetics are so bad that they will probably only get to 6.

Delhezis get to big and regular sens are just too active for that size tank.

CB sen, delhezi albino, or shortbody.

Just my opinion here, but an adult Sen or Del should be in a bigger tank.
They may not be the biggest of Bichirs, but they are one of the most active, and should have plenty of area.
