smallest tank size for a jack?

hey guys, here's the story.


I really like jack dempseys and I've always wanted to have one. But to tell you the truth I dont have the space for a monster tank. At least not yet.


I'm planning a tank for a single jack and maybe a pleco.

What tank size would you recommend, 20g, 30g...???

a 40 breeder but a 55 would be cheaper

A 55g will fit the bill.

I'd go with a 55, although you can do a 40 breeder, or even a 30 long for some time

55, but if you have a monster male you may need to bump it up to a 75 eventually.
