Smart Fish? or Lucky Fish, You Decide

So in my Twin Planted tanks 3 of the 4 sides are blacked out, no way for the fish to see the other tank.

I went down stairs to dose my fertz and saw a tiger barb in the neon tank, he was in the Gourami tank.

So was he smart and some how knew where he was jumping to? Or did he just randomly jump and happend to jump out the right side?

I had to move all the small barbs out of my 55 gallons becasue the power head was killing them. I lost two Tiger barbs to this power head (Dumb fish) I saved them each twice from the power head.

I agree he was very lucky, I had saved him once from the power head already. I hear about this all the time when I talk to a buddy at petsmart, thought it would be a fun poll.
