Smart phones are soooo last year. How about smart watches?

kind of a dumb idea to me
it's neat of course, but why have a smart watch when you have a smart phone? i mean, the phone has the time and date already and it's a phone. why have a watch that does what the phone does, and can't be used as a phone? plus the screen can't be no more than what, 2"?

I have a cell phone watch but it has very poor reception. I got it from an independent company. AT&T blames them for it... they claim they tested it and it would cost me nearly $100 round trip for shipping for them to test it again(I bought it from overseas). Now the battery is dead.
