yea i know it was in my tank and i should make the wet/dry thing so heaters arent in tank. and that you should try not to use glass ones but at the time i bought a nice stealth heater and this cheap radiant heater which now that ones broke. but heres some pics what should i do i dont have a extra $40 right now so im screwed.

its hard to see but its cracked top to bottom and a chunk is missing at the bottom.

yup, and yup i had a glass thermometer to and the larger one i have obliterated that too.

the tanks dropped ten degrees so i put a spare 30 gallon heater on it wont do much of a dent but theres a 75 and a 30 gallon heater on it now,

thank goodness for the timing.. at least this didn't happen in the winter. in the short term do small water changes with 90ish degree water (not hotter). and keep the smaller heaters in there.

save your money and get a titanium heater.. the fish can't break them. i have been buying 300 watt heater kits at an LFS in Riverside for $50 each. I've had some back luck with glass heaters recently, and i'm gradually changing all of the tanks over to titanium.

the other heater is a stealth and its "shatter proof" but with peacock bass you dont really know but yea my house is a 78 degrees and my room is very warm due to reptile lights thank god.

your lucky dude.. happened to me and i lost my fav wild 2 spot orino :(

Man that sucks. There is a heater out now that they tested and it's Monster proof. They're cheap too. I forget the name, but I used to have them. Work very well, they're not glass, more of like a metal I guess. But they tested it, and they dropped it 3 stories and it still works. They're very strong.
