Just set up my new 135 on Tuesday of last week.. it is now Sunday..5 days up and running... I used the bottled cycle to cycle my tank.. its the way I always did it with every new tank setup.. always was fine. The tank has a smell to it now.. maybe its nothing, I don't have the proper canopy on it because I had to order one and its not in yet..so for now I only have a piece of glass , so there is about 11/2 " open in the back .. suppose its just the normal smell of a aquarium that I am smelling ? Just want to know if I should worry or if I should do a small water change ? I have 3 clown loaches and 9 baby bala sharks in it... no I'm not keeping all of them... they were on sale and I got them with no tax... so knowing that I will probley loose some , I got more . All the fish seem to be fine.. I only feed once a day , at night, and only shrimp pellets.. What do you guys think ? Should I do a water change or just leave it alone ? Do you think I"m just worrying to much about it , that its probley nothing ? I only have a kit to check my ph ... and my ph is perfect 7.5 . Please let me know , what I should do or shouldn't do. Thank you.

water change wouldnt hurt or you could add some carbon to the filter for a couple days that might help with the smell hope this helps a lil

I have carbon in my filters already. Always keep it in. The smell really isn't that bad.. Don't think I"m going to worry too much about it.. its not strong..just can smell it I guess because of the top being open some in the back . I will do a small water change middle of the week..
