Smelt?

I got some smelt for my black arow today. hes about 9"-10". what size pieces should i cut it up into? should i hold it in my hand tell he gets close and then drop it? some help please thanks

anyone? what onther food should i try they didnt have squid. market prawns? he already eats the floating arowana pellets and blackworms.

Just hold them in your hand until he takes them. I use market shrimp they work really well.

should i even cut them they are prob 3-4 inches

i used smelt, cut them up into bit sized peices and gutloaded them with aro sticks.

Your aro should be able to eat the smelt whole, but I wouldnt feed it more than 2

I'd cut them into smaller pieces maybe 1" long. I would also suggest if they are frozen that you let them soften up first in warm water.

I cut the smelt up into bite size pieces for my aro. I buy frozen ones so i let them thaw out and get close to room temp before feeding. I also buy frozen squid and do the same thing.

I kust dangle the whole smelt, and they come and grab it. At that size your Aro should be able to swallow it whole.
