Has anybody used or is currently using an airstone or bubble wand that produces super fine bubbles, so that it looks like a curtain of smoke or fog crawling up the back of the tank, I've always wanted to achieve this but the brands of tried don't come close. Does the power of the air pump used come into play?

I used to love that look to and the closest I could get was using the wooden ones but still way off. I have noticed now that I've gone brackish is the higher the salinity the finer the bubbles get.

Everytime I add melafix the bubbles on mine get finer and finer, try wrapping the wand in pantyhose or a fine filter bag.

LOL

get a microfiber filter media bag, a really fine micron count will work the best. you would have to tune down the air flow so you get it to "drift"

Ask one of the really smart guys on the site before you try, because I remember reading something about the dangers of microbubbles and how they can clog gills or something. If I remember correctly, it is the bubbles that tend to not rise fast and stick to things that are dangerous, because fish need disolved oxygen, and when these bubbles get stuck in gills, it can actually suffocate them. Again, check with someoune else, I'm not the expert!
