My Oscar beats himself up on anything that has sharp edges. I don't think he can see very well.

Where is the best place to get rocks like these:

A river would be the obvious choice, but I have neither the time nor the river.

Would a gardening supply store have this sort of thing? Any other ideas?

thanks

Gardening supply store might, as would a landscaping store (similar deal) or like a Home Depot even depending where you are. My LFS has stones like these but they charge much more than a place like that would.

Drainage ditches for strip malls or shopping centers. They won't notice a couple missing.

Just went through this the other day. call ahead to gardening stores since many don't carry or they are very.overpriced. saw great deals on ebay too. I actually went to lowes and picked up a pretty large bag for like $4. vinegar tested the rocks (sometimes not totally reliable but I was being cautious) and removed half of the rocks for fizzing. It's ok if they fizz, just use them for african cichlids since it'll raise the ph.
