So we finally got it all lined up. This female was being housed locally in a private 2,000 gallon tank. A little underweight, but over all in good shape. She has been a proven breeder - so you know I'm searching for a male for her!

She was dropped off by none other than the world famous Diver Frank - The Shark Whisperer.

Carefully scooping her out.

Put her into a holding pool for a little bit after the transport. It was full of water from the shark display. It gave me a good chance to look her over and give her a quick physical while she calmed down. After she settled, we moved her to the main display.

She was a big hit with the school groups getting tours and a special feeding.

Wow, beautiful. Now some people here have a bichir substrate but how about a shark substrate ;)

Great shark there! Im sure she'll throw on a few pounds in no time!
Good luck! as if you need it. lol.

very cool, Im interested in that homemade filter shown in the blow up pond photo

It's just a 5 gallon bucket with holes in the bottom, a 2400 gph mag drive pump, ball valve and pipe. It was purely for circulation. The pool was only set up as a holding to get her in an settled, not really a filter. The same concept works if you want to stuff a second bucket on top with bio-balls and run the pipe up higher. Kinda like this:
