Whats a fish that will stay in a 29 gallon for life, not eat live plants, and is a peaceful comunity fish? I currently have 5 black kuhli loaches, 6 serpae tetra, and 5 ottos. thx

Yoyo loaches only get 4-6" and are pretty active and attractive, great snail eliminators. Here's a link: http://www.loaches.com/species-index/botia-almorhae
 
those dig up plants and are like $11 each where iam. anything else?
 
Really botia loaches are your best bet for snail eaters. An even smaller species would be sidthimunki, but if you don't want to pay $11 for yoyos, you wont want to pay $20 a piece for sids.

dont get a fish to do your job

clean more and overfeed less.. the snail problem will take care of itself...
 
Yep. Less feeding works to keep the population in check.
 
or a snail trap will keep the population down
