I have on the glass side of my tank small brown spots bout .05 mm to 1mm with a more clear shell cover around them , when I press my thumb nail againt them they crunch like a shell , was thinking some kind of egg maybe snails?

I dont think my camera will take such a close up pic but I will try , and the dang thangs are very slowly moving along the glass, there is what seems to be a head moving back a forth
they are little things that are like clams with only one shell... i forgot the name of them but someone should know.. i had them in my tank a while back and its just due to overfeeding... but they are harmless...
I hope so because I use the same water siphon and waterchange buckets for all my tanks , could they be alge grazers? because I make my fish beg , more like ask , for their food and dont usually give em more than they can eat in a minute or so
these little buggers are like what fishermoe14 described they seem like a snail with a flat shell very small so far 1/8"

they are still harmless... just like snails that move even slower... up wc and try to feed less... they should be gone in no time
I looked them up and found some pics that are a match , thank you so much , I'll sleep a lot better tonite because there in two of my tanks but no biggie, thanks again
