not a cowry, the shell doesn't close in from both sides on the bottom and if you look at the pettern on the front of the snail you''l see it has a swirl.

dr. ron shemike he is the author of marine invertabrate's and has a Ph.d in invertabrate studies can't remember the exact name of it but he will know for sure what it is look him up on Yahoo I'll will try to find his email I have it somewhere as me and him exchange knowledge.

that should be a harmless cowrie trust me i sell them in my store and the on the tip top of the rock is a type of cowrie. if it has a mantle that comes out and covers the shell then cowrie.


and the swirl you see is the back end i belive from the photo it look like it to me. plus i see a probocis/ some sort of tube coming out on the right an that the head basicly.
