Wen't out netting and saw a few of these mixed in with the millions of common pond snails

I think they are something like rams horn snails or somethin but i don't think there native are they ? If not someone must of dumped them in there

Sorry for the bad pics there hard to photo

Common European ramshorn. Most likely introduced.

Thanks for the quick feed back they seemed to survive the winter as i saw some last year the pond is feed by run off from the streets and empties into a ditch that doesn't go any where so i don't think they will spred any where

Do they breed fast like common snails ? so far they don't seem to be to active in a 10 gallon i have them in there being kept at tropical temps are they cold water snails ?

They're highly adaptable and can survive fairly cold water as well as warm tropical temps. And yes, they will reproduce quickly like pond snails.

ohh and forgot to ask are they plant safe :) if not i can move them cool little snail though

They seem to be on and off about plants - they won't decimate your plants if that's what you mean. But they might nibble a bit.
