Guys, that is a Gyraulus species, not the Planorbis we always know. They are hard to come by. Keep the snails alive if I were you and both Planorbis and Gyraulus will not damage plants at all. They are more beneficial in planted tanks.

Decaying plant matter and fish foods. I never had luck getting these to breed when I wanted more of them.lol

Nah. They just come out as hitchhikers and are not sold at all...though I'd buy a bulk of them if I had my way. :D

Oh lol, we'll ill keep it in my 2.5 planted do they reproduce by them self? And would it get sucked up in a filter?
