i bought a gold mystery snail a while back which has since died but has left it's mark. i have tiny white snails everywhere all over my tank that seem to keep reproducing. any recomendations on some way to kill all these snails w/o hurting my rbp and pleco that inhabit my 120g?

any of the loaches will do but clown loaches are the most voracious snail hunters around, plus when the obtain a larger size they command a higher price. I'd say if you're gonna get rid of snails do it right and make money back! Get clowns! other wise you can attempt to make a snail trap of your own. take a slice of cucumber and put it underneath a plate that is turned upside down on the bottom of your tank. leave it over bight with the lights off. wake up early in the morning and collect the critters. kinda effective but idk how effective it will be with u cause you have a pleco. but any ways clown!!

You need some Assassin Snails. They are attractive little snails (about .5") that will clean house on your other snails. Its better then the loaches IMO and not potentially dangerous like using chemicals. (IME loaches don't live up to their reputation as snail assassins)

The Assassin Snails breed very slowly and are easy to trade or sell, especially to planted tank keepers who often loath snails and have limited means to remove them. I have never had and issue with over populating Assassin Snails. They will also eat leftover meat foods on the bottom, so they make a decent cleaning crew also.

They will even eat Malaysian Trumpet Snails...

On top of adding Assassin Snails, I would manually remove any of the larger(1+"), unwanted snails.

And if you RBP or Pleco munched a few it wouldn't hurt the fish.

You could buy a snail trap. Never used one myself.

I have used traps before and its seems i can never catch enough, faster then they can crank out more :/ But you could try multiple methods at once.

Clown loaches will solve your problem. Quickly.

I 2nd the assassin snails. Lucifer has 10 with him and his tank his infestation is now gone in about 1 week.

id go with the assassin snails cause im assuming you posted in this forum because you have p's, in which case they will probably eat the loaches. then you still have snails and bought your fish a more exspensive snack than you would like to.
