SNAIL.. is it dead?

ok so i noticed that my mystery snail grew an extension to its shell, now it doesnt move anymore, should i throw it out?

nope. it when my bably endli bumps it, it closes up again. why is it doin this?

Well i do not know snails but if you snail grew an extension to its shell it might be building still. Wen was the last time that it moved?

Fishermoe is right. Perhaps get a breeding trap (one used for gravid livebearers) and put it there so you can keep a tight watch on it.

Snails aren't dead until the meat becomes detached from the shell.

Dead snails stink like nothing else. If it doesn't smell bad then it's not dead.


Plus it's moving so another good sign

do you have a picture? how long have you had it?

Could just be a growth line. What is more concerning is if the endli is picking on it preventing it from feeling safe enough to feed.
