im starting to have little tiny snails pop up in my planted tank...any way to get rid of them without doing any damage

There are various products available but a more natural aproach would be loaches or puffers, how big is the tank and what are the tankmates
Cut your feeding rations, bait them with lettuce and manually remove them. They do not pose much problems other than being unsightly in large numbers. Don't use fish or copper products as a means to destroy the snails. They are not worth the trouble IMO.
