Hi all,

Recently I have experienced a problem with snails, they are the tiny little ones with a pointy shell...
I saw a couple in the tank and so i netted it out and found they were snails... no idea how they got in...
Did a filter change and found A LOT of snails inside my filter...

Is there a way to get rid of them? I run two FX5's and both have those snails inside...
Is there a medicine or something I can put in that will wipe the snails out?
Or do i need to do a complete Filter change?
I will be upgrading my tank in 2 weeks time so I don't want this to transfer into my new tank...

Thanks,
Tim

I heard online that fish love to eat them you can remove manually ( Grab Them ) and break the shell with a hammer or with your finger and feed them 1 by 1 to your fish if they are large enough!

im sorry its just my opinion that snail as long as they arnt hurting plants and such are great for your tank i put them in all of mine first if your water parameters are off the snails will tell you buy running up the tank second they eat algae even the brown algae that you can get from straight tap water and i think you have malyson trumpet snail heck man sellem on ebay they run bought 10 bucks for 20 juvies

I agree with the above but if they really bother you or it gets out of hand, a group of 4 or 5 clown loaches will take care of them. And they're awesome fish.
