Snails and Gars

Would some snails go with gars, I am thinking mostly for the algae control and I heard that plecos eat off the gars which leads to infections, so would snails go good with gars. I have a florida gar.

snails don't do much for algae but yes you could put them in the tank

snail won't do much, best is to have a UV sterilizer and hand scrub your tank wall like I do.
