My astrea snails keep trying to crawl out of the tank. They suck onto the glass, go straight up and out of the water, then suffocate. I had 1 almost die but survived, and 5 others all crawling out of water. None have died but I don't understand why they are trying to commit suicide? Are they laying eggs or something?

When I got snails for my Cl's to eat they always tried to climb out of the tank, but I got a lid so they never did, I don't think they really know what they're doing, they're just retarded lil lumps of gooey mush that slither around thinking nothing but "duuuuuurrrrrrrrgggghhjj"
