I know that you can't use plecos to remove algae so how about trapdoor snails? One of mine just gave birth to about 50 of them and i would like to use them to control the bottom 2" of algae I can't get to with my magfloat. Do snails have any problems with bichirs?

I have to regularly pull snails out by hand, because my Sen won't touch them at all. She is only about 4-5 inches, but won't even touch the smaller ones with the soft shells. I thought it'd be a FEAST waiting to happen, but so far , NOPE...
My first wouldn't until he saw the zigzag eel munching. Then he became a fanatic for snail munching. Of my trio, 2 do, one doesn't.
I just took 2 apple snails out of my Poly tank. I kept being afraid of hearing the sound of shell crunching.
