i guess they would be concidered slugs. i see these things crawling on my java fern. they are really small and almost impossible to take a picture of, its basically a snail with no shell.
is there a way to get rid of them because when i take my lid off its hard to see them without the light.

im thinking planarians...they are harmless and part of a natural ecosystem. i think loaches could help

Planarian... that's what I was thinking of when I said hydra. flat, triangular head. I believe most larger fish would pick them off. Loaches are probably a good choice as was suggested. Make sure the loaches won't damage your plants.

Planarian won't hurt anything really.
Under the microscope they look nothing like slugs.

Its most likely planaria, increasing gravel vacs and decreasing feeding will help.

the thing is its a bare bottom and i rarely feed because i only keep cherry shrimp in there. i dont have or want fish in the tank as im trying to only keep shrimp in there. but since they're harmless i guess i dont mind them that much. it just looked bad when i forgot to WC for a week and saw a lot of them on the glass.

actually forgot to mention that i keep finding these snails (what i believe are snails) thats shells start transparent and flat but dont know what type they are. i put some in a jar to see if they grow out into anything and was wondering if these things are related?
