Snails

I'm looking at getting some snails in my tank would it be a bad idea to buy them from Petco or pets smart normally I don't buy fish there but could buying some snails from there be a bad idea for my other fish health my normal fish store I go to is about 30 min away and want to drive that far for some snails.

I don't see why not. You may experience the normal risks that you would with other fish. I'd recommend a quarantine with them...again like other fish.
