I have noticed the last week that I have snails in my tank. There are not many, I found one maybe three times a week. How does they come in there? Does they do any damage to my RB´s?

I find that snails usually hitch a ride with new plants introduced to the tank. Your p's will be fine. If you put a pc of cucumber in a small container with holes and sink it to the bottom you could slowly haul away some of the bigger snails here and there, but you will still have baby snail eggs. There are store bought products you can add to the tank to rid all the snails that won't hurt your p's. good luck

I would not use any kind of chemical to get rid of them...Try using aquaium salt...It will kill off the snalis....Just use 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons....do not add it in all at once...You will shock your RBP....just gradually add it in, and in no time at all the snails will slowly disapear! Ther is a salt called DR.WELLFISH'S AQUARIUM SAT - it by AQUARIUM PHARMACUTICALS....This is a really good salt...Not only will it get rid of the snails, but it will improve the gill function of you fish, and help supply it with electrolites.

Hope this helps!
