A Channa Bleheri or two would be ideal for you sir. They're usually labelled as "Rainbow Snakeheads" in shops. They're really beautiful and will still give you the predatory factor you're looking for. They hardly grow more than 10", so not much to worry about length. Channa Gachua are nice as well although personally i think they're less beautiful than the Bleheri.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Threadopener wants an agressive fish. I never had agressive bleheri, mine klived peacful with neontetra and guppy for month.

Like Brucki says, Bleheri are generally not aggressive.
There are some amazing looking sm-med Snakeheads out there such as Blue Moon Galaxy, Ice & Fire etc if you can keep a sub-tropical tank.

hi
to start off in the world of keeping channa,i wouldnt go for something like a moonbeam or a sp fire and ice, moonbeams require the bottom end of subtrop, they like the water cold.fire and ice are like pitbulls.
bleheri or assam is a good starting point to keeping channa.
i agree with brucki and tokyo, bleheri are one of the more friendly channa.
