Not a pet, but I know there's alot of snake people here, so maybe some can i.d. this one. This was found in an old car my brother was selling. We're locate near savannah, ga. I'm just curious what kind it is, I've looked through pictures, but haven't found anything.

Holy smoke! Is California so far west that people there don't even know what a Garter Snake looks like? :)

I'd bet good money that this is some kind of Rat Snake. Lots of species, lots of variation within species, but there's probably only a couple found in that area. Should be able to Google it up pretty quickly.

I’ve been trying to figure it out. If you look up on google “yellow-red yutacan rat snake then it shows a snake with the same head pattern and a bit of the same body pattern down it’s body less than halfway through. D25D9EC1-690F-42FC-91B7-51A8F83C9310.jpeg

I'm pretty sure you didn't find a Yucatan rat snake in Georgia, lol.

I'd be searching Georgia rat snakes...not just rat snakes. You probably only have a couple or three species to sort through.

My google is a bit special and unlike the others. My google has almost never showed me good reliable information lol for my entire time trying to figure out this snake species I made sure there was a source saying the snake was found in Georgia. I’m not sure. I prefer fish
