is that color common for this area? I spend a lot of time in the woods and fields around here and can assure you that the few Hog Nose that I've seen were never that bright.
A lot of that yellow looks like a camera artifact. They do get quite bright, though. At least here we get a black phase and a patterned phase, with the patterned snakes ranging from drab to technicolor.
