So I have acquired a snake. I was told it was a striped gray band kingsnake. I can't seem to find anything that looks like the snake. Was just curious if it's because his age or just a morph or what's going on.

He looks like he's at least part grey banded king, it's possible he's a hybrid, whatever he is he looks awesome
Yes he does,it looks like one of those designer color morphs or a hybrid of some kind.

If I had to guess I would say he has some ratsnakes in him, maybe a generation or two back

it looks to me to be a sinaloan milk snake X corn snake hybrid but I'm no expert on hybrids. most hatchlings have different pattern when they are young so it will probably get more banding as it gets older and easier to identify.

The head definitely looks corn snakish, one breeder crossbreed 15 species of rat and king snakes to get a couple stunning individuals.

definitely has the head and body shape of a juvenile Grey-Banded, they look ridiculous as babies, I never saw a striped variant but I believe you got what it was sold to you as. A Grey-banded Kingsnake.......you can always count the scales - there should be 25 rows that wrap around the body from belly-scale to the other side's belly-scale. Does it have BIG OL' EYES???
