Lucky you! :D you guys get to keep them...while were stuck with the non-snakehead fishes...lol and yea they are ok with them even though i don't have one...:irked: lol pellets are one of the healthiest food you can give to a large predatory fish...but you can still just give out gut load feeders or something alive to keep their predatory instinct within them :headbang2but provide more better food for them

snakeheads are pretty smart fishes, its good you got them to feed on pellets at a young age

Care to share how and your steps in achieving this? Starvation?

HI,

ist good to give the channa a various diet, especially at young age.
Scmall channa try almost everything and so get used to new food.
Changing their habits in older age does not work well.
So it took me three and a half weeks of starvatin to get my stewartii to pellets, after my earthwormsource dried out.
But they didnt look slimmer after that.

I know about an obscura in Berlin, that was kept in a community tank since babyage, and he was only used to plecotabs, cucumber and other "non-predatory-food.
He just dosn't know what to do with a feeder

TLKMDN : Since u r from M'sia. If by any chance u drop by Desaru there's a famous fruit farm where they have a pond stock with red talapia and koi and a few large micropeltes (approx. 5kg above) and surprisingly when visitor threw in pellets the channa micro fed as well. I was there a few years back and totally amazed. I asked the PIC and they told me that the few micro were fixed with those red talapia and koi since juvenile stage thus trained to take pellets

pellets? ur a lucky fella...my snakeheads wont even eat dead fish...hell they wont even eat live fish unless it runs or moves

i dunno about you guys, but i wouldnt want my snakeheads on pellets. i think predators should eat what they would eat in the wild. i know id be upset if i couldnt eat meat

bro guess i m quite lucky then, just bought 1 pair of Channas bhihari and they seem to like anything including the Tetra Monster pellet i feed to my bichirs, anyway does Channa bihari do fight or is it still stress as i just bought it yesterday and it seem that the channas when get close to oneanother sure will create a wave dodging here and there lol and i find that there aare abit of torn fins on the anal part of the channa too including my bichir abit too,any advise or infos bro can share here:D
