Snakehead Dinner

My friend gave me a frozen snakehead. I fed some to my reds and they were crazy about it. I want to know if it's safe for my reds to eat this stuff. If it is , then I might add this to their staple diet from now on. :naughty:
 
this is the first i heard that some one feed their piranha frozen snakehead.
 
Thanks for the reply, guys. I like to feed my p's snakehead meat because it doesn't smell as fishy as other fish meat. In my hometown, snakeheads are not kept as pets but are cultured for their meat. Their tasty meat. I'm getting hungry.
 
snakeheads are predatory fish and harbour plenty of internal parasites,ive fed live snakeheads to my piranhas before i knew that,now no more.
intestinal cystodes and nematodes are the major probs.you can feed an occassional one ,but using them too often will be harmful....

he fed frozen snakeheads, not live, parasites shouldn't be a problem after they've been frozen
