Well it happened at about 7:00 in the morning so I was fast asleep when all of a sudden I hear my mom screaming my name and come bursting into my room screaming "Your fish got out, get it, get it, Its running around the basement"
(shes terrified of anything that looks like a snake or bug, plus she went through a similiar experience when my crab got out ). So I jump outta bed still half asleep not knowing wut shes talking about at first but then it clicks in and I rush downstairs to see one of my little reds sitting at the bottom of the stairs totally relaxed. Here I was expcting to see him zooming around in circles going nuts when hes just sittin there. So I grab him with a bag over my hands and toss him back in and weigh down his lid better and he was totally fine without even a scratch. Moral of the story i guess would be to secure ur lid before u have an accident not after, I was just lucky someone was there when he got out.

lucky he didnt get out.

oops. i meant to type lucky someone was there =X

hahahaha... Confused mang? That was lucky, during the summer i got a C. Bheler (sp?)and it jumped out from the tank and was trapped under the light. Had him for a whole two hours. Was not happy about that.. Lucky someone was there

he just wanted to take a morning stroll :grinno:

next time tell him to leave a note

A while back I lost one of mine could not fined it any where got my pond vac out of my fish room to clean pond and this desiccated thing fell out the pipe. One snakehead managed to get other side of my fish room and up vac pipe this was a good 4 weeks earlier so no amount of kiss of life was bringing this poor boy back

Good thing you were there, he could have eaten your mother then crawled to the nearest lake and unleash his snakehead fury on all the world.

thats funny, I actually just saw the movie snakhead terror and man did I laugh, that movie completely kicks ass.

I lost a Bleheri through a tiny hole. dropped it in the tank, it flickered for an hour then eventually died. They are true escape artists. They are fine if their Gills don't dry out.
