Hello I have 6 ortinipinnitis and have been awaiting for a pair to form, we had a good bout of aggression last time but wounds healed and everything seemed to be going fine. I havent seen any wounds since except for one who has now an extremely bad eye:

This appeared over night like this, unsure if can see clearly, but now the eye is much much worse, I have added a little melafix and also some small water changes. Any suggestions how I can help the fella? The eye now is more swollen and cornea clouded.

The eye is definitely much worst plus today one at least has definitely been trying to leap the tank thankfully lid is weighted down. I witnessed one attempt and pretty sure it was the snakehead with the bad eye. Tested the water and stats are spot on

Try not to worry!
These are aggressive fish, they will get marks like this! Keep the water clean daily 20% every day or two will be fine, keep protein foods up ie bloodworm. There were some of my snakeheads that tried to escape its just an indication that a pair might be starting to bond. That doesn't mean breeding just yet! Feel free to pm me anytime as I won't miss it!
