I just got a group of 6 Channa pleurophthalma about 5-7in. They were being feed pellets and freeze dried shrimp.

Is ok for me to starve them to eating frozen krill with different pellet than the original owner had???

Its been one day and they havent eaten yet, should I be worried and give them there original food or wait?

:feedback:

Hi Fishsoup,

one day not eaten is not a problem at all.
And as colin mentioned, moving channa can caues them to ignore food for a while.
When they are already used to pellets and shrimp, they will take your pellet and krill, too.

Let them settle down in your tank, and try small amounts of food, someday they will take

i feed my channa prawns they were being originally fed dried food and they were not happy so when they get prawns there happy or looner fish for a treat

yea its very normal for Snakeheads who just got introduced
into new environment to ignore food for a while .

be patient , they should be feeding soon enough .
