Hey guys..after my 17" Rhom died afew weeks ago iv'e been thinking about a snakehead.

What snakehead would do ok in a 180g?
I don't really want to get a dwarf species..i'd like it to be somewhat big, but be ok in my 180g for life or at least a little while.

thanks!

A Pleurophtalma, maybe...gets to 40 cms.

Snakeheads get boring after a while, just get a shoal of red belly piranha's :)

Been there done that lol Pretty much all iv'e kept in the last 5 years have been piranhas. I think the fish getting boring after awhile can be said about alot of fish though!

Thanks alot guys!

nice sized pleuro or maruloides would be my personal choice depending on tank diamensions , a pair of maruloides would never get boring for me . to be honest i think anyone who thinks that snakeheads become boring over time are probably getting into them for all the wrong reasons anyway, i suppose it all depends on what your expectations are for them

cheers col
