iam going to buy a cleaseal 30x12x15 inch tank on sat or sunday , so my qestion is there any snakehead i can have in my tank or is my tank to small and do i need a hood on my tank. thanks
Your best bet would be 3 or 4 Channa Sp. Assam. There are a number of single specimins you could keep. Smaller Gachau Vars., Punctata, Orientalis, Panaw, Bankanisis.
i think 2 maybe even 3 bleheri would be more fun to have. just my opinion. more colorful. more active (from what i've heard) etc etc. and on top of having a top on the tank most snakeheads like some plants or something along the top for cover so they feel comfortable going to the surface for air
agreed with the guys, clearseal so make sure you purchase a lid to fit after and also id reccomend getting the drip tray aswell, these guys are escape artists....why you getting clearseal, have alook around for a secondhand tank and get everything including filter ect for same price.
reccomend getting plants galore and duckweed works a treat in these tanks, provides cover and reduces escape idea's in my oppinion and helps with filteration
