I am wonderin on the legality of having a snakehead in an aquarium in Canada.

Anybody know the law ?

well i live in B.C. and there legal here. I see them all the time and i work in a pet store and there on our availability list all the time.

They could definetely survive a 10 hr drive. Depending on species. I lived in Japan for 2 years and had a monsterous channa marulius (Bullseye, or great snakehead) and he could have rode in your lap for 10 hrs and survived. He jumped out of his tank and survived a night laying on the ground.

Post is old but since it's been bumped ..

BC, Ontario , Quebec & Alberta have bans on All channa & parachanna. Manitoba has a ban on channa argus only . All other provinces they are legal in .
