So, I want to get a snakehead. I live in Alaska and from my understanding snakeheads are not outlawed in Alaska, but they cannot be taken across state lines to be brought into Alaska. If I want a snakehead I have to find one that is already in Alaska. So, does anyone know any channa breeders in Alaska? I really want a channa micropeltes, but I'm open to other species as well. Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks. :D

this is a very touchy topic, they are not illegal in MN either, but the feds make them illegal so they are illegal. the feds rule go above and beyond state rules. just like asian arowanas, not illegal in the state, but still can't have them due to the feds.

they have a sticky in this section about it. i reread through it, but it is very indepth and yet vauge at the same time. i also want snakeheads for myself, but it isnt worth the hastle. atleast to get them and keep them. ill fight to own them if given the chance but until then i have not found any breeders in any states within the usa. they have all seemed to fie out or after they became illegal to own they made themselves scarce.
