Snakeheads in Montreal?

Anybody know where to get a snakehead in Montreal, Canada?
I'm looking for one of the smaller, less aggressive breeds... any suggestions on that?
I know it's not the best idea to put them with other fish but I have a 125 gallon Cichlid tank and would love a snakehead for it...

They are normally available (small ones like rainbow snakeheads) from a supplier in quebec called tfs. Ask pet stores if they deal with tfs (tropical fish systems).
I don't think it would be wise to add them with cichlids, but your call haha

Thats true, especially C- bleheri is a no gi in a cichlid tank. Cichlids are to agressive for the snakehead, and rainbows are subtropical, the "usual" cihlids are tropical

So is there no tropical breed that would be ok with Cichlids?

there are tropical snakeheads but none are suitable to keep with other fish. snakeheads are best for a species tank only, read the stickies they are full of good info

I know a guy who is giving his giant snakehead away for 100$ and can send to you but can you keep the snakehead which is a hard question because the thing could break almost any fish tank and is 90cm long at least and my friend is in Vancouver

Oh sorry I didn't read the smaller snakehead part in your post but I'm sure the channa striata would do cuz they r just as aggressive as cichlids and grow decently big but in captivity is small

Do you keep your snakehead alone / species only or do you keep it with other fish?
