Yup! Haven't found one of those guys in a long time. On a side note I caught a big pregnant garter while I was doing yard work over the weekend.

DEKAYI! That was THE FIRST snake i ever caught in the wild! I thought it was a copperhead and got scared xD i reaearched it and that is how i know! Man the memories!

Oddly enough this species is quite common in some parts of Philadelphia but I have never seen a garter snake.Most people assume these are garters when they find them....Talk about memories,I was bitten by a copperhead when I was a boy.I still think they are the most beautiful snake in our country.
