Snapper Question

Formy majors bio. class we have to write a paper over an animal and the niche they occupy and I have been writing it and I realized I am not positive if common snappers are nocturnal or diurnal. I am thinking they are nocturnal because that is the oly time mine are really active but I dont want to hand in a paper that is wrong anyone have a positive answer on this?

I've seen them active during the daytime too but they mostly become active towards dusk.

Every animal has its own personality when raised in captivity. I have a 40 year old Alligator Snapper who lets me scrub his shell and touch his face and doesnt mind.
