Heres Machilla, my smallest snapper.
About 4" carapace.
I switched the lights to his old exo terra tl 5.0.
This is the next day:

Now noboddy never say snappers dont sunbathe no more not. So dont.
They do.
He also swims a lot.
To hunt the Endler guppies.
Issnt he lovely?

omg all your setups are spectacular!!!
will you make one large video possibley sometime to show them all off? even your fish tank is fantastic!!
 
Nice setup along with a great example why snappers should have a place to haul out. Some just like to bask more than others. I've seen them bask in shallow water with their shells exposed when I go fishing from time to time.

Mine has never basked, but he is a AST Lol
 
Mine wont bask. I have one living in a window well(huge, but jumps right back in as soon as I take it out, will meed to take it far away) and it is covering itself it mud. But yeah necer seen them bask ever. Cool pic
 
My snapper is about 6 inch carpace now in less than a year, got him at the size smaller than a nickle. He NEVER comes out of the water, cool to see though
