Well....I have been trying to feed my silver arowana hikari food sticks.......problem is he has been getting fed market shrimp for the last year.....So, I got some astaxanthin and dryed it out into powder made small slits in the market shrimp and pushed a few hikari food sticks, carnivore sinking pellets and astaxanthin powder into it....he gobbled it right up....a little extra work....but more vitimins and natural color additives as well....hope the dude starts to enjoy a mixed variety of foods and starts to like the taste of these foods sticks! cause other then that....seems I will be having to feed him stuffed gourmet delicacies from here on out.....I dont even get feed that good....j/k I eat well, so does my fish. ;)

thats what im doing to to my aro. They refuse to take pellets. So i keep stuffing my prawns/shrimp with red aro pellets. It works but take some extra time. But my silver has no problem with food he eats what ever that falls in the water. Damn spoiled Asians ;)

it took may jar awhile to get use to the food sticks. when i first tried to feed him he would spit it out. now i would put in six food sticks he would gobble them all up. when they get hungry they will eat it.

Guys I have started to change my Monster over ( I am talking about real big aro's ) who never ate pellets. Took me a week fasting. Soak the pellets. They went for it. Only the CK is giving me trouble.

Still amazed by all the people who say their aro is picky. Mine will eat anything that fits in his mouth, doesn't care what, or who, it is.

I have one large silver that will eat pellets after a few weeks of starving, but will refuse them again after one feeding of shrimp. She has DE in both eyes and has a real hard time feeding from the surface, so I'll give her a break. Her tankmate, another large silver, eats pellets on a daily basis.

yeah, my Aro does the same thing with Hikari food sticks..he just bites and spits it out..whats funny is that he eats everything else! (cichlid gold, sinking pellets, f/d anything.) ...go figure?!

oh and i think that he prefers the pellets to be dry not soaked..he won't eat any pellets if the're soft..i guess he likes it crunchy?

Nice, great info guys...! :)
