Snook X Salvini

Hey guys just wanted to share some pics of my pair which spawned yesterday. I have produced fry before but unfortunately they died in a mishap ( They are both Central American so this hybrid according to the guidelines is possible) Any help with raising fry would be appriciated thanks

Thats awesome, the only other time I have seen Snooks hybridize was with a Trimac. I really want to see some fry!

How are fry doing? This is going to be a very interesting hybrid!!! What I doto raise my fry is I remove them into an other tank but u can't take the eggs out of the water, or else they will get fungus on them.

Congrats! The fry will be one of a kind. Could you imagine a snook sized salvini?

That would be crazy lol and I have bad news... I woke up this morning and find my ornate poly and severum had a snack my severum chased the Salvini away while poly ate most of the almost hatched eggs..

Nooooooo. :/ Next time move the eggs to a different tank. Or move all of their tankmates now. A salvini x snook hybrid would be reallly really really unique. :/

What size is the tank? Mabey try to divide the pair of from the rest of the community. Chances are since they have spawned twice they will spawn again. also try redecorating the tank so the spawn site is away from everything else. These 2 will create some evil cool looking fish better luck next time
