Yes I still have pleanty of learning to do to :)

I recently aquired a 10" tiger wolf fish for my own personal collection at home.

I am not a wolf fish expert so I want to ask your guys opinion.

Do you think its wise to place the wolf in with Peacock Bass his same size, and datanoides that are a little smaller?

I would hate to see my smaller datanoides get wrecked.

Let me know your thoughts as I dont know my wolf fish.

Thanks,
John

Not sure exactly which one them this tiger wolf is but it's possible that it could outgrow your other fish and become a threat.

Not if you care about your bass. Wolf fish will disembowl your Cichla when giving the chance. I myself owned one back when Snake Heads were legal. Lets just say he took out all three of my Snake Heads over night. Now I will say this it will be trial and error. I myself made that mistake many years ago and never made that mistake again.

There are member on here that keep Wolfs with there P's but I wouldn't chance it bro.

When it comes to wolf fish period I don't think size really matters. There teeth alone are made for one thing and that is at any size. It's only a matter of time imo.

If it is a Mala you should not have a problem, my wolf only had attacked piranhas and also silver dollars as they look like piranhas. It seems to me that they do not like "shiney" fish, but mine does not bother the Oscar, gar, lung, or RTC/TSN....

I have never even heard of a Tiger wolf John, is it a Malabaricus, Amirara, Curup?
Yeah, try to find out just which one it is.

I recieved my LTSN because it was being terrorized by a 10'' male Malabricus and it was not pretty. I got to witness the attacks with my own eye's. Don't get me wrong I love all Wolf fish but I know you have some beautiful Cichla Snookin so imo not worth it when dealing with Cichla. Of course the LTSN is extremley shinny so this could have been the issue but it was twice the Wolf Fish's size so choose wisley.

John i wouldnt risk it with your nice cichla and especially with the smaller datnoids. Those wolf fish got big teeth on them
