What is "longfin gene"? Longfin is dominant in cf. cirrhosus, and longfin x shortfin batches usually end in ~50% longfin, ~50% shortfin IME. Those shortfins never yield longfin offspring when I spawn such fish, and longfins don't appear even within three filial generations, according to a local breeder I bought some SRs from. I would assume that if one isn't longfin, it simply does not have the ability to pass on longfin genes to their offspring; was I misinformed?
