Amazing what a change of tank scenery and tankmates will do. Originally, I had put my P. polits (2 males, 2 females) in a tank with my demasoni colony, and 3 Cyno. sp. 'Lion's Cove' males. Both the polit males looked fabulous. Then, about two months ago, I moved my Mbweca afras out of my community tank into one of their own, and decided to move the Polits in there and keep a species-only dem tank. Well, apparently the polits didn't like that plan! They refused to colour up, staying that really purple-ish colour they get sometimes. I'd finally had enough, so about a week ago I moved them back in with the Demasoni. It was almost instant results! Hours later they looked amazing, and continue to every minute of every day. Both males, too. They've each claimed half the tank, and both stay fully coloured up
