I have a 16ish inch snowflake eel I got about two months ago... and I have yet to see the thing eat. I've looked online, I talked to the LFS... He said they fed it live rosies every once in awhile which it only ate at night and fed it bloodworms regularly. Found out pretty much the same information online, except that tubiflex worms are recommended as well. To date, I've tried rosies, beefheart, silversides, bloodworms, cichlid pellets, cory cat type pellets, sinking carnivore pellets.... and I have never seen it eat or even act interested in the food. Does anyone have any experiences they can share to help me out??

Mine loved defrosted popcorn shrimp.

Is it in salt water (they are salt water fish).

Nope FW... I bought it as a FW eel @ the lfs

Add salt. You don't have to keep them in salt water. But atleast brackish. Once in brackish they usually eat in 2 weeks. Try shrimp on a stick. What else is in the tank????
